Pyons Group Parish Council owns a number of areas of land at Westhope. The trees on the areas that are publicly accessible are checked once a year by an arboriculturist, and the assistance of Friends of Westhope in helping with ongoing maintenance is invaluable.
In July 2026 a committee of the Council was established to manage the Westhope Lands, consisting of three councillors and two residents, one a senior figure in the Commoners Association, the other from the Friends of Westhope.
