Neighbourhood Development Plan 2025-2026
The Parish Council is in the early stages of preparing a review of the 2024 NDP. A working group has been established to examine the context. Notes of meetings are published below:

Pyons Group Review Neighbourhood Development Plan Referendum 11th January 2024
Following approval at the parish council meeting held on Tuesday the 7th November 2023, the Review NDP containing the modifications requested by the Independent Examiner was submitted to the Herefordshire Council NDP Team for publication on their website prior to the Referendum which will be held on Thursday the 11th January 2024. Residents on the electoral registers for Canon Pyon and King’s Pyon will be asked to vote on if they want Herefordshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Pyons Group to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area. Pyons Group Review Neighbourhood Development Plan Reg 16 Consultation
Following approval at the Pyons Group Parish Council meeting held on the 4th October 2022 the Review NDP and supporting documents have been submitted to Herefordshire Council for Reg16 Consultation who will publish these documents for comments from the 28 November 2022 until the 23 January 2023. Pyons Group Neighbourhood Development Plan is being reviewed. The group parish council has set up a steering group for this purpose.

Pyons Group Neighbourhood Development Plan
The Pyons Group Neighbourhood Development Plan has been adopted by Herefordshire Council following a referendum on 11 May 2017 to decide on the following question: ‘Do you want Herefordshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Pyons Group to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
The result of the referendum saw 90.2 percent of votes cast in favour and 32.2 percent of registered electors voted in the referendum.

Herefordshire Council has ‘made’ the Pyons Group Neighbourhood Development Plan which now forms part of the Development Plan for Herefordshire.
